JONESBORO, Ark. (5/5/18) – The Arkansas State baseball team dropped the second game of a three-game series with Texas State 10-3 Saturday night at Tomlinson Stadium.
The Red Wolves (16-26, 7-16 SBC) out hit the Bobcats (23-23-1, 11-12 SBC) 10-9 on the night, but Texas State scored runs in each of the first five innings and finished the night with four, two-run innings to even the series at a game each.
Arkansas State took a 3-2 lead after the first inning when Casey Vaughan and Winston Welch delivered back-to-back RBI hits. Vaughan singled in Jeremy Brown and then Welch followed with a 2-run single that plated Kyle MacDonald and Vaughan to up 3-2.
