The SEC broke its own record by sending 13 teams to the NCAA Tournament, but only two — Arkansas and LSU — have survived the first two weekends and will head to Omaha.
They are the two highest-seeded teams remaining in the field, owning the No. 3 and No. 6 overall seeds, respectively, and have long been two of the favorites to win it all.
On top of that, ESPN tabbed them the second- and third-most talented teams in terms of MLB Draft prospects before the postseason, with the Razorbacks dispatching the top team on that list by sweeping Tennessee in the Fayetteville Super Regional.
