WR Stewart arrested for DWI

Arkansas receiver Deon Stewart was arrested by a Cherokee Village police officer early Saturday morning and charged with driving while intoxicated after being pulled over for driving left of center.

He was booked into the Sharp County jail at 3:17 am and bonded out shortly before noon.

Stewart, 5-11, 161, of Hardy, Ark., suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury as a senior and missed the 2019 season. He could be eligible for a sixth year of eligibility after redshirting in 2015.

Stewart caught 22 passes for 178 yards while making eight starts as a junior in 2018 and had nine punt returns for 91 yards.
