The Hogs have the newest national champs. The Women’s Track and Field Team had been the top ranked team in the nation all indoor season and it culminated with their second indoor title. They had previously won in 2015, and had runner up finishes in 2016 and 2018. The Hogs finished with 62 points and cleared past second place USC who had 51 in the team event.
The Hogs started the scoring with a 5th place finish in the DMR race and trailed New Mexico by 13 points. They had a strong day with plenty of athletes qualifying for Saturday’s finals.
