FAYETTEVILLE — The lights went dark and introductions were made.
All of the names listed in the Arkansas women’s basketball starting lineup Tuesday night at Bud Walton Arena hadn’t been there in an official game before. Only Maryn Archer was a returner from last season’s team, but she had no prior starts.
Once each of the five starters were listed, with the lights still dimmed and flashlights illuminating spaces around the arena, the public address announcer made one final new proclamation.
“Head coach Kelsi Musick.”
Musick, who made her official Razorbacks debut in their season-opening 93-81 win over Louisiana Tech, had been excited throughout the day.
