FAYETTEVILLE — How do you choose an athlete of the year from an athletics program full of the best players in their respective sports?

The short answer: you don’t.

Four of the Arkansas Razorbacks’ 17 teams produced a national athlete of the year in 2025. Baseball shortstop Wehiwa Aloy won the Golden Spikes Award, softball first baseman Bri Ellis was USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, track and field sprinter Jordan Anthony won The Bowerman and women’s golfer Maria Jose Marin won the NCAA individual championship as well as the Honda Award for that sport.

For their success in 2025, Aloy, Ellis, Anthony and Marin shared this year’s WholeHogSports Athlete of the Year award.
