No. 1 Arkansas saw its program-record 12-game SEC winning streak snapped on Saturday afternoon in a 7-6 loss to No. 7 Georgia.
Bad things tend to come in threes, and the Hogs have fallen victim to that by going behind 3-0 early in both games so far this weekend. On Friday, Arkansas scored 13 unanswered runs to win in dominant fashion, but it wasn’t as fortunate the second time around. The Bulldogs tagged Gabe Gaeckle for two more runs in the second inning thanks to a blast from Robbie Burnett that opened up a 5-1 early lead.
The Razorbacks scored one run apiece in the second, third and sixth innings to stay within striking distance, and a two-run homer from Kuhio Aloy in the eighth brought some late life to the dugout.
