FAYETTEVILLE — It’s no secret that one-possession games have been a nemesis for Arkansas football in recent years.
The Razorbacks are 2-12 in such contests since the start of the 2023 season, and their inability to win more was part of what led Arkansas athletics director Hunter Yurachek to fire former coach Sam Pittman on Sept. 28.
Arkansas (2-5, 0-3 SEC) saw its five-game skid begin with a pair of road losses: 41-35 at No. 8 Ole Miss and 32-31 at Memphis. In both instances, the Razorbacks fumbled the ball deep inside opponent territory within the final two minutes and with a chance to go ahead.
