‘We changed it up a little bit’: How Arkansas football is making turnovers a fall camp priority

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football coach Sam Pittman has reiterated the importance of winning the turnover battle in buildup to the 2025 season.

During last year’s 7-6 campaign, the Razorbacks had an average turnover margin of -2.3 in their losses. They won the turnover battle three times — victories at Mississippi State (+4), at Auburn (+3) and against Texas Tech (+1) at the Liberty Bowl — and were 3-0 in games with an equal margin.

Translation: Arkansas success last year hinged on ball security, and Pittman wants to avoid another boom-or-bust situation this season.

As soon as the Razorbacks have finished their pre-practice stretch during fall camp, they have gone into turnover circuits.
