FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football is set to play what could be its final game at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock on Saturday when the Razorbacks face Arkansas State.
Arkansas' contract with the stadium is in its final year.
The stadium opened in 1948 and has hosted Arkansas football games for 78 seasons. The 2020 and 2022 seasons were the only ones during that time when the Razorbacks did not play in Little Rock.
In recent years, however, there have been some game day issues for fans. Two seasons ago, stadium concession stands ran out of water early in the game against Western Carolina on a blistering day in early September.
