FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas softball has added a transfer pitcher to its roster, Razorbacks coach Courtney Deifel announced Thursday.
Callie Turner, a left hander who pitched two seasons at Tennessee, is joining the program for the 2022 season. She will be immediately eligible as a redshirt sophomore.
Turner, who has three seasons of eligibility remaining, made 40 appearances with the Volunteers during the 2020 and 2021 seasons and posted an 18-10 record and 2.50 ERA. She struck out 103 batters in 168 1/3 innings pitched.
A native of Land O’Lakes, Fla., Turner pitched 91 2/3 innings as a freshman and struck out 72 batters during the shortened 2020 season.
