UA men, women struggle at NCAA cross country meet

Arkansas’ women finished 14th and the men were 25th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Madison, Wis.

Freshman Katrina Robinson led the Razorbacks’ women with a 41st-place finish in the 6,000-meter race with a time of 20:37.57. Carina Viljoen (61st) and Taylor Werner (81st) also finished in the top 100.

Cameron Griffith led the Arkansas men with a 42nd-place finish in the 10,000-meter race with a time of 30:01.02. Gilbert Boit, the SEC champion and conference runner of the year, was 126th in 30:53.26, second among all Razorbacks.

Colorado won the women’s race with 65 points, 38 points better than second-place New Mexico (103).
