FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas women’s and men’s cross country teams are picked to win SEC titles in a vote of the conference's coaches, it was announced Tuesday by the SEC office.
The Arkansas women, defending SEC and NCAA champions, received 13 of 14 first-place votes with one going to Ole Miss.
Coaches aren’t allowed to vote for their own team, so Razorbacks Coach Lance Harter voted for the Rebels.
Arkansas’ men’s team received nine of 12 first-place votes with Ole Miss, which has won the last two SEC titles, getting three votes.
The Razorbacks’ women’s team has won the last seven SEC titles and 21 overall.
