The last 12 months have been a whirlwind for heralded Arkansas hooper Jacob Lanier.
Ranked as the No. 87 overall recruit in the Class of 2026 by the 247Sports Composite, the four-star shooting guard is finally back in the Natural State, but he zigzagged across the country before returning home.
After starring at Maumelle as a sophomore and taking home MVP honors at the Pangos All-American Camp Top 30 All-Star Game, Lanier opted to take the prep school route — similar to past Arkansans like Moses Moody and Layden Blocker.
He enrolled at AZ Compass Prep in Chandler, Ariz.
