UA Brass Shared Doubts About Yurachek’s Leadership Shortly Before Sam Pittman’s Firing

Arkansas football’s 56-13 beatdown at the hands of No. 22 Notre Dame on Saturday was the type of loss that mandates proverbial heads to roll.

Sure enough, less than 24 hours later, Arkansas football coach Sam Pittman was fired. The 63-year-old compiled a 32-34 record over his five years and change on the job, with a 14-29 mark in SEC play.

Offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino will serve as the interim head coach. Time is a flat circle.

The Razorbacks started this season 2-3, with narrow road losses to Mississippi and Memphis leading into a drubbing at home that even had Pittman questioning his infallible belief that he has a good team.
