University of Arkansas offensive line coach Brad Davis' honesty was a breath of fresh air to offensive lineman Zach Rice, a high school sophomore, during a recent talk.
Rice, 6-6, 279 pounds, of Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy, called Davis on Tuesday and learned the Hogs were extending a scholarship offer to him. He holds 12 other offers, including ones from Virginia, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Southern Cal, Oregon, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.
"He was saying that he wants to build a relationship with me and it doesn't happen overnight," Rice said of his 30-minute conversation with Davis.
