Tulsa scores 5 in final inning, sends Arkansas to loser's bracket in NCAA Tournament

Tulsa scored five unearned runs in the top of the seventh inning and beat the University of Arkansas softball team 5-0 on Thursday in the opener of the NCAA Stillwater (Okla.) Regional at Cowgirl Stadium.

The Golden Hurricane (36-18) had five hits in the seventh inning, but also benefitted from three Arkansas errors — two by catcher Kayla Green and one by third baseman Nicole Duncan — while sending 10 batters to the plate.

Tulsa second baseman Morgan Neal, a senior from Springdale Har-Ber, went 2 of 4. She had a single and scored in the seventh inning rally, when Rylie Spell had a two-run single.
