Arkansas football coach Sam Pittman went right up the road on I-49 for his latest commitment, landing Bentonville wide receiver Blair Irvin on Monday.
The three-star pass catcher chose Arkansas over offers from Kansas State, Minnesota, Purdue and others. The 6-foot-1, 175 pounder visited Fayetteville from May 30-June 1 and was scheduled to visit K-State this week but called off the trip and closed down his recruitment.
“I was ready to settle down,” Irvin told Best of Arkansas Sports. “I wouldn’t say the college [recruitment] took my mind off high school football, but I need to get back into it and get ready for the season.
