Lawson Blake is a cult hero of sorts in Arkansas basketball circles.
A year ago, the Fayetteville native had already cemented his place in Razorback lore despite being a walk-on who’d played a grand total of 20 minutes over four seasons.
You see, when John Calipari famously said he “met with the team, there is no team” upon his shocking hire at Arkansas, the Hall of Fame coach wasn’t 100% accurate.
While all of his teammates from Eric Musselman’s last team had either exhausted their eligibility or hit the transfer portal, Blake didn’t plan on going anywhere for his final season of college basketball.
