The Dealbreaker on Whether Arkansas’ Biggest Transfer Can Contribute or Not

Former Oregon offensive lineman JacQawn McRoy is Arkansas’ undisputed biggest transfer addition of the offseason – in a literal sense.

Listed at a massive 6-foot-8, 362 pounds and known by his nickname “Shaq,” there’s also a strong case to be made he was the biggest portal pickup in terms of potential impact.

The former top-100 prospect was a heavily-recruited offensive lineman out of high school, pursued by the likes of Tennessee, Ole Miss, Nebraska and, of course, Arkansas. He eventually signed with the Ducks, but did not see any game time during his true freshman season. After entering the transfer portal, Arkansas football coach Sam Pittman came out on top in the second round of his recruiting.
