Texas athlete Dixon decommits from Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE — Make it five pledges who have exited Arkansas’ 2020 football class since Chad Morris was let go on Sunday.

Carthage, Texas, four-star athlete Kelvontay Dixon (5-11, 175, 4.3 40-yard dash), a top-300 player nationally, per ESPN, re-opened his recruitment Monday evening.

All five of the decommitments are from the state of Texas and leave the class with nine players. It is also expected Highland Park quarterback Chandler Morris will be going elsewhere following his father's dismissal.

“After a long talk with my mom and family I have decided to decommit from the University of Arkansas,” Dixon tweeted.
