After nearly a century of waiting, Arkansas and Arkansas State fans set aside the Twitter fingers (or whatever they used back then) and finally met on the football field.
With a shot at knocking off the state’s flagship university, the Red Wolves were expected to come out firing. Instead, the first quarter was all Hog.
Arkansas football got the ball first and struck quickly, with quarterback Taylen Green rattling off a 22-yard completion to O’Mega Blake before tailback Mike Washington took his first touch of the game for a 53-yard rushing touchdown. After forcing a quick A-State punt, the Razorbacks went 80 yards in six plays for a touchdown — then another two-play, 75-yard drive.
