The Arkansas Razorbacks will know late Saturday afternoon whether scheduling Arkansas State was a disastrous decision or a successful exclamation point on a chapter of their history of games at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.
The first meeting between the state’s only Football Bowl Subdivision teams will kick off just after 4 p.m. at the sold-out 54,120-seat stadium in the capital city.
This historic meeting went on the books in 2021, a few years after UA athletic director Hunter Yurachek eased the school’s long tradition of not playing in-state schools. Arkansas State had been yearning for the matchup.
