Arkansas football received a major injection of speed Monday evening in Memphis tailback Sutton Smith, its fourth transfer addition of the day.
Smith took an official visit to Fayetteville on Friday and chose the Hogs over North Carolina State, West Virginia and others. The rising redshirt senior has one year of eligibility left.
Other coaches around the country, most notably Indiana’s Curt Cignetti, have found great success taking players and coaches from their previous job to their new one to help speed up a rebuild. That’s been a common theme for new Arkansas football coach Ryan Silverfield.
