For the fourth time in six years, Arkansas football coach Sam Pittman was out-coached by Lane Kiffin in a loss to “Ole Miss.”
The Rebels had to turn to backup quarterback Trinidad Chambliss while usual starter Austin Simmons nursed a lower leg injury. Primarily known as a running threat from his days at the Division II level, Chambliss completed 21 of his 29 passes (72%) for 353 yards at a clip of 12.2 yards per touchdown. The senior had one touchdown through the air and added another 62 yards and two scores on the ground.
Kiffin has always appeared to find a little extra joy in beating Arkansas, particularly last year, when the Rebels laid on 63 points in a beatdown in Fayetteville.
