Razorback Sports Network announcer Rick Schaeffer was hospitalized Saturday after suffering an undisclosed medical incident prior to Arkansas' game against Ole Miss at War Memorial Stadium.
Schaeffer, 67, received treatment at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, a hospital located adjacent to the stadium, and was resting comfortably Saturday night, according to a spokesperson for the athletics department.
Schaeffer left the press box just prior to the start of the RSN pregame show that began at 3:30 p.m., three hours before kickoff. Schaeffer is a host on the pregame show and also serves as a statistician on the broadcast.
