ATLANTA — The perception of recent Arkansas football seasons would likely be different if the Razorbacks had better results in rivalry games.
The Razorbacks went 3-0 in regular-season trophy games against LSU, Missouri and Texas A&M during the 2021 season. Arkansas also defeated Texas that year in what was then a nonconference victory.
Since then, the Razorbacks have gone a combined 0-10 against those four rivals.
The losses to rivals have accounted for 50% of Arkansas’ losses over the last three years. Its record against all other opponents is 18-10 over that stretch.
And within the 10 recent losses to rivals, the Razorbacks have lost by one possession six times.
