FAYETTEVILLE — Despite not having many returners, junior Romani Thurman said the Arkansas volleyball team still felt a sense of connection during its first official practice Monday at Barnhill Arena.
“I felt great,” Thurman said. “I felt like we’ve built such a close-knit group even in our first practice [Monday]. It felt very fluid and we trust the people beside us. I think that’s the best position we can be in right now.”
Thurman, the daughter of former Razorback basketball standout Scotty Thurman, played the right side, was the team’s top point scorer a year ago and was second on the team with 315 kills.
