FAYETTEVILLE — Kentucky is expected to hire Kolby Smith as its running backs coach, according to a report Tuesday by Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.
Smith coached running backs at Arkansas the past two seasons and was promoted to interim offensive coordinator this year when Bobby Petrino was made interim head coach Sept. 28.
The Razorbacks had a strong rushing attack in their two seasons under Smith, with a pair of All-SEC selections headlining his room. Ja’Quinden Jackson rushed for 790 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2024, and Mike Washington rushed for 1,070 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2025.
