FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas redshirt freshman offensive tackle Shaq McRoy intends to enter the NCAA transfer portal when it opens, according to a report Tuesday by Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.
McRoy, 6-8 and 344 pounds, played in six games this season and started in the Nov. 1 loss to Mississippi State. He was injured on the second play from scrimmage against the Bulldogs and was out for the rest of the season.
During a Sept. 27 loss to Notre Dame, McRoy rushed for a 1-yard touchdown in the second quarter. He became the first Arkansas offensive lineman to rush for a score since Shawn Andrews against Mississippi State in 2003.
