FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas is set to hire Gaizka Crowley as its football general manager, FootballScoop reported Thursday, citing sources.
Crowley is in his second season as Arizona’s general manager under coach Brent Brennan. The 17th-ranked Wildcats improved to 9-3 this year after going 4-8 last season.
Prior to Arizona, Crowley worked in the same role at Western Michigan for a year and in personnel departments at Eastern Illinois and UNLV. Those stops came after working for XOS Digital (also known as Catapult), which aids coaching staffs in roster analysis and scouting.
Scott Gasper, who was general manager at Memphis under new Arkansas coach Ryan Silverfield, will also be on the Razorbacks’ staff.
