REPORT: Arkansas football fires defensive coordinator Travis Williams

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football has dismissed defensive coordinator Travis Williams, according to reports from multiple outlets Monday morning. Co-defensive coordinator Marcus Woodson will act as interim.

The news came one day after head coach Sam Pittman was fired and offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino was elevated to interim coach.

Williams was in his third season as Arkansas' defensive coordinator after being hired to replace Barry Odom following the 2022 season. The former Auburn linebacker came to Arkansas from his first collegiate defensive coordinator position at Central Florida. He had previously been co-DC and linebackers coach at Auburn in 2019-20.
