FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas men’s basketball coach John Calipari made simple remarks on his frontcourt at SEC Media Days in Birmingham, Ala., last month.
“You have to have a post presence, or your team’s a fraud,” Calipari said then. “There are times we’ve got to get a free basket, [like when] we’re not making any shots. That’s what we want, we’re still looking for it.
“We should be a terrific rebounding team, both offense and defense.”
The Razorbacks, in their too-close-for-comfort 79-75 win over Samford on Friday, did not have an inside presence.
