FAYETTEVILLE -- In the previous four seasons as an Arkansas defensive end, Trey Flowers tackled opposing players for losses totaling 2 1/2 football fields.

Flowers' 47 1/2 tackles for 250 yards in losses rank second on the Razorbacks' career list behind Billy Ray Smith Jr., who had 63 for 343 from 1979-1982.

"Trey is a big loss for us," defensive line coach Rory Segrest said. "He's a natural player and he had a lot of game experience.

"You're not just going to turn around and replace a guy like that, but we've got some other guys that are very talented and I'm really expecting big things from them, too.
