Tim O’Malley has covered Notre Dame for 247Sports’ Irish Illustrated for a decade. The Notre Dame alumnus joined the WholeHogSports Daily Podcast this week to discuss the Fighting Irish’s season so far, its matchup vs. Arkansas and its outlook for the rest of the year.
Q: What is your perception of Notre Dame through three games?
A: We didn’t see much of [preseason] camp, but everybody we talked to, including coaches but not just them, said the defense was way ahead of the offense and the offense was struggling to find a starting quarterback between CJ Carr, who we all predicted would win it, and Kenny Minchey.
