FAYETTEVILLE — It looked like Arkansas was well on its way to a comfortable regional-clinching win, but one pitch quickly got Creighton right back in the game Sunday night.
While it was Ben North’s three-run blast in the fourth inning that cut the Razorbacks’ lead in half, from 6-0 to 6-3, the pitch that led to the Bluejays getting some momentum was two at bats earlier.
Right-hander Gage Wood was cruising, having retired 11 of the first 12 batters he faced, when he thought his 1-2 fastball caught the edge of the zone for yet another strikeout to end the fourth.
