Pittman Sounds Off on One Big Criticism of Taylen Green’s Record-Threatening Performance

FAYETTEVILLE — Taylen Green was almost flawless in Arkansas’ resounding season-opening win over Alabama A&M on Saturday.

In his first game as a second-year starting quarterback, the veteran threw for 322 yards and 6 touchdowns, the latter of which was one shy of Brandon Allen’s single-game UA record.

The result was a 52-7 blowout in which Green didn’t have to play in the fourth quarter. While it was against a clearly inferior opponent, there was very little to complain about when it comes to his performance.

He even added 41 yards on nine carries for good measure, managing to pick up a trio of third-and-longs by scrambling.
