After a storybook two-year homecoming with Arkansas football, Bobby Petrino has found his next landing spot.
The 64-year-old is reportedly finalizing a deal to become Bill Belichick’s offensive coordinator at North Carolina. It will be hard to compete with Chapel Hill when it comes to having the grumpiest coaching duo in college football.
Petrino was at the center for much of Arkansas’ lengthy coaching search this fall, but his 0-7 mark as interim coach forced athletic director Hunter Yurachek to look elsewhere. New head coach Ryan Silverfield elected to bring offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey with him from Memphis and hired Jacksonville State OC Clint Trickett to coach quarterbacks.
