The former Penn State football coach helped deliver what turned out to be the postseason high point of Sam Pittman’s nearly six-year tenure with the Razorbacks. Arkansas getting a date with the prestigious Nittany Lions in the 2021 Outback Bowl, and then beating them, just gave more leverage to super agent Jimmy Sexton when entering contract extension negotiations on Pittman’s behalf.
Seasoned veteran that he is, by June 2022 he’d walked away from the job putting millions and millions of dollars more into his client’s piggy bank.
