Peeling Back the “On Brand” Criticism of Pittman’s Hogs after Yet Another Ole Miss Loss

Familiarity, they say, breeds contempt. Maybe that’s why Arkansas fans seem almost excited to move on from the Sam Pittman era of Razorbacks football.

On a macro level, Pittman doesn’t deserve the venom spit in his general direction. Four bowl invitations in five seasons is a resume-worthy accomplishment. The game was lost in the final 90 seconds when wide receiver Jalen Brown, fighting for the final yard to the sticks after catching a three-yard pass from Taylen Green, was stripped of the ball by Rebels linebacker TJ Dottery.
