Arkansas distance runner Paityn Noe broke the women's program record in the 10,000-meter final Thursday at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Noe’s personal-best time of 31 minutes, 36.91 seconds gave her fourth place in the event and 5 points toward the Razorbacks’ team total.
She topped the previous program record of 31:56.84 set in 2016 by Dominique Scott.
Teammate Sydney Thorvaldson also ran a personal best with 32:21.37 to finish 10th.
The 10,000 was one of two finals Arkansas competed in Thursday, the first day of women’s competition at the national meet.
