After more than four decades of coaching, Arkansas football offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino knows exactly what he wants in a quarterback.
During his head coaching tenure in Fayetteville, big-armed quarterback Ryan Mallett led some of the best offenses in school history. Behind his 3,869 passing yards, the Hogs finished in the top 10 nationally in total offense and fourth in passing yardage en route to 10 wins and a Sugar Bowl appearance. Mallett had a towering frame – so much so that he had to assure NFL scouts he was 6-foot-6 and not 6-foot-7 – and a rocket of a right arm.
