FAYETTEVILLE — Ole Miss starting quarterback Austin Simmons was listed as probable for Saturday’s game against Arkansas on the SEC's initial player availability report released Wednesday night.
Simmons was hurt with 6:40 remaining in the Rebels’ 30-23 victory over Kentucky last Saturday when he was tackled awkwardly. He was assisted off the field by team personnel.
“It’s the left leg, and you see it underneath [a Kentucky defender],” ABC color commentator Greg McElroy said during a replay of the injury Saturday. “He kind of gets rolled up over the top and couldn’t put any weight on that left leg.
