FAYETTEVILLE -- Hunter Henry made a triumphant return to his boyhood stomping grounds in Atlanta on Wednesday by winning the John Mackey Award, which is given to the nation's top tight end.
Henry, a junior at Arkansas, was announced as the winner Wednesday morning and will pick up the trophy, named for former NFL tight end and Pro Football Hall of Famer John Mackey, during the red carpet show tonight in the lead-up to the annual College Football Awards ceremony.
"It's a dream come true to win this, and I can't say how thankful I am," Henry said.
