FAYETTEVILLE — Auburn is the only SEC team to have not scored 20 or more points in a conference game this season.
Still, the Tigers (3-4, 0-4 SEC) haven’t been bludgeoned to a tie for last place in the league by blowouts. Their consecutive losses to No. 13 Oklahoma, No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 5 Georgia and No. 15 Missouri have each been by 10 points or fewer.
Three have been by a single possession — perhaps none more tormenting than Saturday’s 23-17 loss to Missouri in double overtime.
“The disappointment from Saturday night can’t linger,” Auburn coach Hugh Freeze said Monday.
