Notae again a second-half star for Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas coach Eric Musselman has said junior guard JD Notae is one of the best instant-offense players in college basketball.

Notae, a transfer from Jacksonville University who sat out the 2019-20 season, has been living up to that billing in recent games. He scored 19 points off the bench for the Razorbacks in their 85-72 win over Abilene Christian on Tuesday.

“He’s getting better and better every game,” said David Patrick, Arkansas' associate head coach who filled in Tuesday while Musselman was in quarantine due to covid-19 contact tracing. “We all know he can score, but I thought he made some good passes for us in the second half on top of his scoring.
