Verizon Arena may get a new name in 2019.
The North Little Rock venue said in a Tuesday news release that it is on the hunt for a new naming rights sponsor, whose moniker would replace the current one in October 2019.
This would be the second name change and the first sponsor change for the arena, which was dubbed the Alltel Arena when it opened in 1999, the release states. When Verizon bought Alltel in 2009, the space took its new owner’s name.
The venue said it plans to announce a new partnership “soon.”
