After waiting a week between games, weather made certain the Arkansas softball team had to wait a little longer before playing Friday night in College Station, Texas.
The wait was worth the reward for the ninth-ranked Razorbacks.
Arkansas (35-9, 11-8 SEC) held on for a 7-5 victory over No. 2 Texas A&M after a 2-hour, 12-minute lightning delay pushed the game’s start time at Davis Diamond to 8:12 p.m.
It tied the highest-ranked opponent Arkansas has beaten under 10th-year coach Courtney Deifel, matching 2 victories in a series win at then-No. 2 Florida earlier this month.
