“You tell your kid, ‘Don’t touch the burner because it’s hot. Don’t touch the burner because it’s hot. Don’t touch the burner because it’s hot,'” he said. “And you know what you finally do? Fine, touch the burner.”
He was referring to the Razorbacks’ exhibitions — a 3-1 victory over Tennessee-Martin and a 6-0 victory over Oral Roberts — as the burners. Hale said Arkansas did not live up to its standard in those matches, heading into Thursday’s opener against No.
