FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas soccer coach Colby Hale has long held high standards for his teams.
The No. 6 Razorbacks, who begin their season against No. 13 Iowa at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Razorback Field, did not live up to that standard in their preseason exhibitions against Tennessee-Martin and Oral Roberts. Hale said as much, and players agreed.
“We need to be on par with the Razorback soccer standard,” freshman forward Paige Szymanski said following the 6-0 win over ORU last Saturday. “I don’t think that, as of right now, we’re upholding the standard that the past has given us.
